    Bloomberg terminals are down.

All around the world, Bloomberg terminals are refusing to connect. There's no clear cause yet but it looks like thousands of traders are pretty much locked out of the world's dominant trading and data platform.

Bloomberg has confirmed the outage but no cause has been mentioned so far. The firm says it's rushing to fix the problem.

It also looks like some people are switching to the less popular Reuters system.

They're getting a "CONNECTION LOST" error message that looks like this:

    CONNECTION LOST #bloomberg

At least one user in Paris has apparently managed to get onto the system:

#Bloomberg is alive in Paris but very slow !

We'll keep you updated as more comes out.

Users are making the most of the outage on Twitter.

Did the IMF mentioned Bloomberg as "major risk to financial stability" in their report?

On a brighter note, Bloomberg being down makes it very easy to ignore brokers.

Who's voting Bloomberg for London Mayor now?

Bloomberg is down globally. I'd be buying shares of London coffee shops right now.
