Domain owners can also enroll in privacy protection services. I haven't check to see if JRW has done so (might not be a bad idea) but if you look up any of my domains you won't find my information. :) The registration information is valid, of course, it just can't be seen by a standard "whois" command.

That is true that you can get privacy protection services. I used to have a lot of that back when I used to own a bunch of porn names

The "whois" data reported an additional email address, so I am trying that. We'll see what happens. Given that it's a new email address I will keep the board up for another few days to see if JRW responds.

I was able to get a response from JRW using the email address on the "whois" database. Based on his initial response the site will be up for another week. We'll see where it goes from there. :)

He's still active on his club-tc website (advertised at the bottom of the page). It looks like one of the other advertised websites was also 'let go'.

I don't understand why he doesn't sell it. I imagine he has his reasons for giving up on us but to just let it go is incomprehensible to me.
Why would you just throw away thousands of dollars. Selling for a loss is better than a total loss.

I've exchanged a few emails with him now, so at least the lines of communication are open. We're talking about hosting options and longer term plans for the site, so that's a positive development.

    Stay tuned for details.
