There are some rules related to the Gross vehicle weight - I think it has to weigh a certain amount to qualify... I noticed at the VW dealer here they were pushing the Touraegs and said you could deduct it as an expense since it is so heavy it counts as a truck not a car.

I believe the vehicle must have a gross curb weight of 6500 pounds. My husband is a contractor and we have done this for his truck.

I would check with an accountant- we have a small htg/air home based business- of course the truck is a work vehicle but we have another car- used partially for personal and partially for sales calls/deliveries etc. We have a certain percentage of the lease that we write off.

I would double check, but it seems to me you may be able to write off a small percentage of your car, not all of it.

I would check with my accountant and be sure before I planned on it. I doubt you can deduct all of the cost, but probably a percentage.

This situation would definitely be a percentage. I know of several cases where a large, or complete percentage is written off (service vehicles, etc), but due to the nature of your work I'm doubtful you would qualify for anything too large.

    Definitely look into it though.

I think you should get a vehicle for your web design company because it will most likely increase your sales, if your portfolio is good ;)

It really depends where your driving the vehicle :) Drive it in cities where there are big buildings and 2 storey houses, etc.. :D
